Mr. Sutter is a member of Aurora's Executive Board. He has more than 25 years of executive experience in refining, specialty chemicals, plastics, process automation, and steel. Most recently, Mr. Sutter was COO of Gerdau Ameristeel, one of the largest long steel producers in North America. During his tenure at Gerdau, Mr. Sutter's team completed in excess of $5 billion of acquisitions across the entire value chain of the business. Previously, Mr. Sutter joined Tyco International as one of the operating executives charged with turning around Tyco, assuming the role of President of Tyco Plastics and Adhesives. Earlier in his career he was part of AlliedSignal, which ultimately became Honeywell, in the Specialty Chemicals and then the Process Automation Division. Mr. Sutter began his career with Pennzoil and Morton International. Mr. Sutter has a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from University of Missouri-Columbia, a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University, and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
